Embracing the fairytale essence of the 120-year-old English Tudor estate, inspiration for the Foyer came from the beautiful walnut woodwork, elaborate ceiling mural, and gorgeous stained-glass window. A starting point for the design was integrating the ceiling mural which was designed from the original hardware on the entry door by an artist named Jeff Raum.

Light, color, and texture’s were brought in to breathe fresh life into this stunning historical gem, while respecting the history of the space. Bringing  in elements of flora and fauna, of woodland creatures, forests and birds, the space becomes regal, magical and dripping in elegance, fitting for a baroness.

A custom mural from the acclaimed Hattas Studios adorns the walls, gorgeous custom and antique furniture is on display in the grand foyer from Cache Antiques. A stunning John Richard Glass Leaf Twenty-Six-Light Chandelier elevates the space to new heights. Hanging this magnificent piece was no small feat and was done effortlessly by Precision Electrical.

The backdrop for our lovely murals in a stunning French Wash Finish created by Pink Guy Painting. Rich antique rugs are throughout the space and a custom designed carpet runner with brass accents was provided by Silk Road Rug.

A lovely reading corner is framed by lush, custom drapery from the lovely Kat Waller. The spectacular Fey Chair, designed by Rachel Scheff and Amorph studio, is truly the star of this lovely nook, scattered with vintage books dating back to the late 1800’s. It is the perfect spot to look out onto the expansive estate grounds drink some team and dream.

Art was a major feature of this space. Linda Storm’s piece “Nature is Female” provided by Singulart is truly a showstopper and compliments the “Birds in Flight” art installation designed and made by Rachel Scheff, herself.

Entering the space will whisk you away to another time and place of romance, opulence, magic and whimsy. Welcome to the Foyer of Enchantment!

We were tasked to create a narrative that expanded on the original concept, and the idea came together with the Baroness as our protagonist discovering, as if in a dream, a place both new and familiar at the same time.

Moodboard

Taking inspiration from a number of sources, we endeavoured to shape the narrative and the aesthetic around cinema and fashion.

Storyboard

Creativity and organisation are essential in crafting an idea and bringing the concept through to completion.
